Let's start off with the basics

My name is Karen, obviously.

I'm a 24 year old police officer's wife
We currently reside in central Louisiana

And, I'm a Psychology major!

I started this blog to update Matthew throughout his deployment, and for our families since we live so far from our homes. But now that Matthew is out of the marines, it's more to share my life experiences as a new resident of the south!

Now, with the not so basics...

I'm a Hoosier, and no I do NOT mean I go to IU. 

I'm from one of the smaller, if not THE smallest county in Indiana.

Yep, that little red dot is where my heart will always call home. 

However, my husband is from Louisiana.

I like to consider myself crafty, but by no means am I the next Martha Stewart.

You will see many failed project attempts, and a few successful project as I try to bring pinterest to life.

Oh, and you'll see a lot of love for my furr babies. Yes, I am THAT person. 

What? I don't have kids and won't for a few good years, so I can brag about my pets :)


My idea of an awesome Friday night is watching Criminal Minds while doing homework.

I'm pretty much a 40 year old trapped in a 21 year old's body
